Position Description
Corrections Consulting Services (CCS) is seeking experienced medical and behavioral health professionals to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in immigration detention. Our work helps maintain humane conditions of care and strengthens accountability standards across the federal detention system.

Role Overview
As a CCS SME, you will conduct on-site reviews of ICE detention facilities to ensure compliance with ICE’s Performance-Based and National Detention Standards (PBNDS/NDS). You’ll evaluate healthcare operations, provide real-time guidance, and produce detailed reports that help facilities meet and sustain high-quality care standards.
Key Responsibilities

Inspections: Evaluate medical and behavioral health services at detention sites to confirm alignment with federal and professional care standards.

Technical Assistance: Collaborate onsite with facility staff to identify improvement opportunities and provide immediate, practical recommendations.

Reporting: Document findings through clear, detailed reports outlining compliance levels, observations, and corrective recommendations.
Qualifications
For Medical Professionals (RN, PA, NP, MD):

Licensure: Current, active license.

Experience: Minimum 10 years in healthcare or behavioral health within a secure or correctional setting (serving detainees, residents, or prisoners).

Leadership: At least 5 years directing or administering healthcare units in these settings.

Specialized Experience: 2+ years conducting inspections, compliance reviews, or record audits in detention or correctional facilities.

Note: 5 years of administrative leadership may substitute for inspection experience.
For Behavioral Health Professionals:

Licensure: Current, active license in mental or behavioral health discipline.

Experience: At least 10 years providing behavioral healthcare in secure custodial settings.

Leadership: Minimum 5 years of administrative experience overseeing mental/behavioral health programs for detained populations.

Specialized Experience: 2+ years of experience conducting inspections or compliance reviews.

Note: 5 years of administrative leadership may substitute for inspection experience.
