Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Methodist Hospital | Westover Hills to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. About the Unit:

• 8 bed Intensive Care Unit
• Patient to Nurse ratio 2:1
• Provides care for a variety of patients including cardiac, DKA, Respiratory failure, STEMI, Renal, etc.
• The physicians are highly engaged and provide 24/7 coverage.
• 1:1 mentorship with supportive, experienced staff.
• Many opportunities and educational resources including national certification support and tuition reimbursement.
• Highly supportive staff that provides numerous education training for new nurses and residents.
• Conducts multidisciplinary rounds with the interdisciplinary team in identifying safe and efficient critical management for high acuity acute care.
• Nurses take pride in pride in the TEAM environment and focus on the WHY of critical care.
  
  

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Those interested in advancement will be invited to participate in our outstanding educational and leadership development programs.
• Manage clinically complex patients with multiple drips, access, and devices for critical care management.
• Actively involve and engage in family in the care of critically ill patients, and end of life care.
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required
• One (1) year of acute hospital experience as a licensed Registered Nurse strongly preferred
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required
